As a Foreman at Natural Builders, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating various construction projects, ensuring that they are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with our construction teams, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of residential construction projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, including scheduling, planning, and organizing the workflow to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and support to construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to monitor the progress of construction work, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and project plans.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop construction schedules, budgets, and material requirements, and communicate any changes or challenges that may impact the project timeline or budget.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety meetings, and promoting the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of construction materials, equipment, and tools to ensure they are available when needed and properly utilized on-site.
  • Resolve any construction-related issues, conflicts, or disputes that may arise, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders to mitigate risks and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Provide training and mentorship to construction team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring their adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, change orders, and material requisitions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience and that an emphasis on sustainable building practices is preferred.
  • Proven track record as a Foreman or similar leadership role in the construction industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of residential construction processes, including tile work, drywall repairs, painting, flooring, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and finishing.
  • Solid understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage construction teams effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in using construction management software and tools. We would like someone that is comfortable with using software and is easily able to get used to using new software.
